Kolter

🚧 bumpy cologne, germany house and breaks

Johannes Kolter makes house, breaks and most things sitting between them, out of cologne. he released under the name djoko first and moved to his own family name in 2023, which is where this project properly starts.

he has a hand in two imprints. hoove began in cologne in 2016 as an event brand and grew into a label he co-runs. Koltrax came after it, launching in 2023 with its first ep on 7 april that year, and it is where most of his own material lands now.

I love imagining myself in certain life situations when I work on tracks.

the record that travels furthest is his remix of Chris Stussy's Seeing & Believing, released on piv as part of the across ocean record on 28 september 2020. the two also record together as stussko. elsewhere he has put music out on berg audio, shall not fade, hot creations and chris stussy's up the stuss.

with Sidney Charles he has a real running partnership. Let's Pardey, cut with sidney charles and theo nasa, arrived on heavy house society on 30 may 2025, and Back 2 Da Beat followed on koltrax on 29 may 2026. the rest of 2026 brought Elements: Kolter on berg audio on 13 february, What Did You Come For? on koltrax on 10 april and Hey Everybody (Back In The Dance) on positiva on 17 july. he also remixed Jazzy and kilimanjaro's no bad vibes for chaos on 3 october 2025.

two uk dates are locked for 2026. he plays the forest stage at creamfields in daresbury, cheshire on sunday 30 august, then joins the you&me lineup at the warehouse project on friday 2 october at depot mayfield in manchester, a night topped by Josh Baker that also carries Prospa, Carlita, Julian Fijma, Marsolo, Dennis Quin, Job de Jong, Stef Davidse and Mati Astroza.
